The Biggest Secret I've Had to Keep!!!

Baby B is due August 2019!

This has been SO hard to keep from you guys! It's literally been driving me insane, especially with not posting anything for so long. Pregnancy is life changing in so many ways, but the 1st Trimester lack-of-motivation has been so hard. Hopefully now that I'm almost into my second trimester I'll get my energy back and get more posts up!

To answer a few questions, yes my husband and I just got married, and yes, this pregnancy was planned. The wedding was planned first, and we honestly thought it would take us longer than it did to get pregnant. I'd just come off birth control and I had heard it can take anywhere from 3 months or longer for the hormones to get out of your system and allow your body to be where it needs to be to conceive. Well, not for us! I feel very lucky that it happened so fast, and that this baby stuck. I've had more miscarriages than I would ever like to admit, so the fear of losing this baby was at the front of my thoughts.

My six week appointment felt like forever to arrive, but at the same time it snuck up so much faster than I expected. My husband came with me, as he was just as excited and nervous as I was. It was definitely in our minds that we could get bad news, and in some way we prepared ourselves just in case. We were taken into the Ultrasound room once they asked the usual initial questions and, we saw the heartbeat! Our teeny tiny little coffee bean was healthy as expected and exactly on track from the first day of my last menstrual cycle. We were given a couple of pictures of our tiny lil’ bean and made another appointment for when I hit 8 weeks.

Those two weeks of waiting have now turned into what feels like 2 hours have passed. I am 12 weeks now and our lil’ coffee bean is the size of a plum and with the help of Sneak Peak, we found out we're having a little boy! This post is super not sponsored by anyone, but I did want to include Sneak Peak in this . I'll go over a full review hopefully soon. We had both originally wanted to wait to find out the gender, however the further along I got, the more anxious we became to know. After some deep research and discussions with my husband, we decided to order the kit to find out the gender of this baby. We had names picked out for each gender, but found out just before I turned 11 weeks that we would be welcoming a little boy into our family!

We are so incredibly excited and thankful for our baby boy and a healthy pregnancy so far. In a week or so, I'll post a 1st Trimester update and go into details about how the first 13 weeks have been. I am so happy I can FINALLY talk about this openly now!!!
