Photo Diary | Christmas Tree Farm!
November 29th 2020
This was the day we went to the a Tree Farm and cut down our own Christmas Tree!
Though research, friends, and COVID-19 info, we decided to forgo the usual trip to Green Bluff and instead head to Swenson’s Tree Farm! A dance friend’s family owns it, and I really wanted to continue to support locally owned businesses *Not saying that Green Bluff isn’t. I just know the family personally, and you didn’t have to book an appointment like you do with GB - theirs was scheduled out the entire month of December
So we all piled into two car and drove 20 minutes down the Palouse Highway to get to the tree farm. First off, it was so much easier getting to this tree farm than it is to drive all the way up north to Green Bluff. Second, the tree-covered path you drive down has Christmas bobbles on the trees, lining the path to the parking lot. I could only imagine what it will look like once it snows!
It wasn’t as crowded as Green Bluff, and there were so many trees to choose from! You had the option of cutting down your own tree with a saw, or picking out a pre-cut tree. We opted for the saw. It took us maybe 20 or so minutes to find the perfect tree for us and saw it down. The trip in it’s entirety took 40 minutes - the same time as it would have taken us just to drive to Green Bluff!
So here are some of the pictures I took! I hope you enjoy!
