The Great Debate: Huggies vs Pampers

Alrighty.

I’m here to help you decide on the biggest decision that will affect you bundle of joy’s little booty.

Okay not really though (lol!). I cannot tell you how many people bombarded me with the question of which diaper brand I would be using for my kids. Around the time I was pregnant with my son, I really didn’t know of other brands out there. If you want to hear about some of the other brands we tried for my son, click here.

I tried both Huggies and Pampers for both of my children, but had different results for each!

My son was primarily a Huggies fan. My son was a little string bean. Even though he was much taller/longer than other babies, he is my skinny baby. I found that so many other brands we tried, he would always have blowouts mainly because they didn’t hug and fit his skinny little legs! I think that’s why Huggies worked so well for him. He tried the most brands out of both my kids.

My daughter was more of a fan of Pampers! In all honesty, she was my chonky baby. The number of rolls she had made her look like the Caterpillar from A Bug’s Life - so many rolls, but so adorable! She blew out of every single Huggies diaper we had, even now in her early stages as a toddler. Funnily enough now, Love’s diapers work best for her (and our budget!).

I truly believe that it really depends on your baby and their body. Both my kids have very different baby body types and therefore the same brands would work differently for each of them. Ben was my string bean, skinny but long baby. Harper was quite the opposite with thick little thighs and lots of cute little rolls.

The best advice I have for you today if you are indecisive is to try out the smaller packs of different brands and go from there. I made the mistake of getting huge boxes of diapers that ended up not working for my kiddos and ended up giving them away to friends and family. After some trials, just stick with what works for your baby. They may take to Huggies, maybe Pampers, or they may take a turn and like other brands! Take into consideration your budget as well. I personally feel like the prices of diapers has increased drastically since I had my son, and you don’t need to break the bank to diaper your baby. Hell, embark on cloth diapering if you are brave enough! I certainly was not haha!

Which diaper brand was your baby’s preferred brand? I’d love to hear your experiences and thoughts below!

This is all for now my lovelies!
